Barry Townsend is the founder and creative director of Townsend™.
With more than 30 years of industry experience in branding, Barry Townsend has led design initiatives for some of the most recognizable brands in the world, including Target, Apple, 3M, Nestlé Purina and Motorola. His work has been recognized for design excellence by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Brand New, Communication Arts, Graphis, NY Art Director's Club, The One Show and Type Director's Club.
Barry is a native of Florence, SC. He earned his degree in design from the University of South Carolina and has worked as design director at some of the nation's leading branding agencies—including Colle+McVoy and Design Guys in Minneapolis, MN—and worked with two of the most respected firms in the design and advertising industries—Duffy and Fallon—while serving as corporate brand manager for an international software corporation.
